Device Documentation
Overview
This section provides device-level documentation for EnGenius hardware platforms. Use this page to confirm you are in the correct product line and to select the appropriate document based on your task (setup, specifications, configuration, upgrades, or troubleshooting).
Scope note: This section focuses on device documentation (manuals, datasheets, release notes, FAQs). For cloud platform operations, private cloud deployments, or security advisories, return to the corresponding top-level documentation areas.
Start Here
Use the following entry points to quickly locate the right document:
Setting up a device for the first time: start with Quick Start Guide
Confirming capabilities or selecting a model: use Comparison and Datasheet
Configuring features or day-to-day operation: use User Manual
Upgrading or validating version-specific behavior: use Release Note
Common questions and known configuration patterns: use Solutions FAQ
Documentation Map
The Device Documentation set is organized by document type. Each document serves a distinct purpose:
Quick Start Tech Center
Quick Start Guide — Initial bring-up steps for basic hardware setup and first access.
Comparison — Model-level feature comparison to validate platform fit and capability differences.
Datasheet — Hardware specifications and standards support (interfaces, power, environmental ratings, performance attributes as specified).
Switch Documentation
Switch Docs — Switch-specific documentation and references for installation and operation within the switch product Version Selector Guidancefamily.
Resources
User Manual — Primary configuration and operation reference for device features and management workflows. Applies to supported firmware releases; feature availability may vary by model and release.
Release Note — Version-specific changes including new features, resolved issues, known limitations, and upgrade considerations. Applies to the firmware version indicated in each release; use Release Notes as the source of truth for version behavior.
Solutions FAQ — Frequently asked questions covering common configuration scenarios, interoperability topics, and operational troubleshooting patterns.
Version Selector Guidance
Device behavior and UI/feature availability can vary by firmware release. When validating whether a guide applies to your environment:
Identify the device model and current firmware version.
Use Release Note to confirm version-specific behavior and upgrade considerations.
Use User Manual for configuration reference, and cross-check against the applicable release notes if feature behavior differs.
This navigation approach aligns with common “documentation roadmap” patterns used in large vendor documentation centers.
