## <mark style="color:blue;">Hardware Mounting</mark>

The access point can be mounted on the **Wall** and **Pole**, and please perform the steps for the appropriate installation:

### Wall Mount

1. Determine where the **Access Point** is to be placed and mark the location on the surface for the four mounting holes. Use the appropriate drill bit to drill four 8.1mm diagrams and 26mm-deep holes in the markings of the **Screw Position Identifier**.
2. Screw the **Anchors** onto the holes until they are flush with the wall, and then fasten the **Mounting** **Screws** into the **Anchors.**

## <mark style="color:blue;">**Powering the EnGenius Station AP**</mark>&#x20;

EnGenius Station AP devices can be powered the following:

* EnGenius PoE adapter (EPA5006GR)

### **Powering with a PoE Adapter**

(A) Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN (PoE) port of EnGenius Station AP and the other end to the PoE port on the PoE Adapter.&#x20;

(B) Connect the power cord with the PoE Adapter and plug the other end into an electrical outlet.&#x20;

(C) Connect the second Ethernet cable into the LAN port of the PoE Adapter and the other end to the Ethernet port on the computer.

{% hint style="info" %}
Please make sure to use cat5/cat5e UTP/STP RJ45 Ethernet cables.
{% endhint %}

## <mark style="color:blue;">Management Plane</mark>

EnGenius Station provides flexible options to manage your devices based on your network planning and deployment.

Option A: **App Management**&#x20;

Option B: **Standalone Configuration**&#x20;

### <mark style="color:blue;">**App Management**</mark>

Manage and monitor the Access Point through the **EnWiFi Platform** with a mobile app.

**EnWifi App** (iOS/ Android)

:arrow\_down: Download the EnWiFi mobile app here

<figure><img src="https://2824051977-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL%2Fuploads%2F2SOl3sWMqzXwi0IV0Fyo%2F05.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=04a39eba-f4e8-49c8-a731-63eb89d36d24" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### <mark style="color:blue;">**Standalone Configuration**</mark>&#x20;

Using your computer, you can connect to the same network (subnet) as the Access Point and use the web browser to access the device's local web GUI page for configurations whenever the device is set to **Standalone mode.**

## <mark style="color:blue;">**Option A: App Management with EnWiFi**</mark>

Station solution is a complete turn-key solution for managed Wi-Fi, not only with devices added to the management system but even during the deployment on the go. With the EnWiFi App, it facilitates the initial quick set-up for an AP or a group of APs before being added to the management system. This is especially helpful for service providers or operators to do initial deployment on-site with devices just taken out of the box with factory default settings.

For a configuration with a single device, upon AP power-up, this unmanaged AP will broadcast a specific management SSID for connection. Users can look at the back of the AP to match the last 6 digits of the MAC address with its corresponding SSID. For ease of group configuration on a bunch of APs sharing common settings, EnWiFi App is also capable of using a selected AP to discover all other APs for further configuration.

For WLAN deployments needing coverage extensions, besides devices’ wireless settings, EnWiFi App will also assist users in setting up WDS links to extend the coverage. After the App installation, follow the wizard for network setup.

## <mark style="color:blue;">**Option B: Standalone Configuration**</mark> <a href="#cloud-managed-with-fit-cloud" id="cloud-managed-with-fit-cloud"></a>

### Step 1: Access to Local Web

1. Use your client device (e.g., a laptop, mobile device, or tablet) to find the SSID: "**EnMGMTxxxx**" and connect to it.

{% hint style="info" %}
**EnMGMTxxxx -** xxxx is the last four digits of MAC - **MAC** can be found on the device label on the back of the access point.
{% endhint %}

2\. Under your web browser, enter the URL: [**http://EnGenius.local**](http://engenius.local/) or <mark style="color:blue;">**<http://192.168.1.1>**</mark> to access the device's user interface.&#x20;

3\. Use the default login credential (ID/PWD: **admin/admin**) to log in to the device's local web page.

### Step2: Configure and Manage the Device

After logging into the device's local web page, navigate to the left side menu to configure and manage the AP accordingly.
