&#x20; 4\. Select the registered device and click "**Assign to Network**" to add the device to your personalized Network.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %} <mark style="color:blue;">**Network**</mark><mark style="color:blue;">:</mark> Management domain shared same configurations within EnGenius Cloud<mark style="color:blue;">**.**</mark>
{% endhint %}

### <mark style="color:blue;">Step 2: Connect to EnGenius Cloud</mark>

Connect an Ethernet cable from your DHCP-enabled network to any port of EnGenius Cloud Switch.

<figure><img src="https://2824051977-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL%2Fuploads%2FwAxSNwgvH3TD60L2oi3a%2FA-2%20Connect%20to%20EnGenius%20Cloudd.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=b5da9f8a-385e-41e7-baee-c3a41563c4d4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### EnGenius Cloud Connected

Once the device is powered on and ready to connect to the Internet, It will automatically download the default configuration settings from EnGenius Cloud for automated provisioning.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
When the Switch is connected to the EnGenius Cloud Platform for the first time, it will automatically check the latest available firmware. If the firmware upgrade is required, it might take **8\~10 minutes** to complete the process.
{% endhint %}

### <mark style="color:blue;">**Step 3: Manage with the EnGenius Cloud**</mark>

Log in to the [<mark style="color:blue;">**EnGenius Cloud**</mark>](https://cloud.engenius.ai/) <mark style="color:blue;">**Platform**</mark> to configure detailed settings. For more information, please refer to [User Manual](https://docs.engenius.ai/engenius-cloud/)**.**

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/FoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL/blobs/CTRxW79YlRgVgDwXYH0x/image.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### <mark style="color:blue;">Troubleshooting</mark>

If your Switch cannot be managed by the EnGenius Cloud Platform, there might be a problem with connecting to EnGenius Cloud.

To troubleshoot the connection issue, you may log in to the **Switch Local Web** page:

1. Make sure that your computer is on the same subnet with the switch **(192.168.0.0/24)** and directly connect to it with an RJ-45 cable.
2. Under your web browser, enter the URL:  <mark style="color:blue;">**<http://192.168.0.239>**</mark> to access the Switch's local web interface.&#x20;
3. You can review the device status after logging into the Switch with the default admin account/password <mark style="background-color:green;">(admin/password).</mark>
4. Check the information on the **Dashboard** and take action if necessary.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/FoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL/blobs/KnbyoAJOYlE40FMli6Bs/image.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>*The display model number may be varied according to different models.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %} <mark style="color:blue;">**Change IP Assignment Settings**</mark>

By default, the EnGenius Cloud Switch (ECS series) is assigned an IP address dynamically by the DHCP server. If you encounter issues with IP address assignment, please double-check the IP setting, including IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS, and management VLAN. If the issue still exists, you may change your IP assignment from "***DHCP*** " to "***Static***" via the following procedure.

1. Go to the ***Configure> System Settings> IP Address Settings*** section.
2. &#x20;Change Configuration setting to "***Static***".
3. Configure the ***IP address, gateway, subnet mask, and DNS*** settings.
4. Reconnect this Switch to the LAN network and try again

{% endhint %}

## <mark style="color:blue;">**Option B: Standalone Configuration**</mark> <a href="#cloud-managed-with-fit-cloud" id="cloud-managed-with-fit-cloud"></a>

### Step 1: Access to Local Web

1. Connect your computer to the switch and ensure its IP address is in the same subnet.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/FoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL/blobs/rVJnsJYKWPNjNPuYDHgA/Switch-managed2.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2\. Launch your web browser and enter the URL: <mark style="color:blue;">**<http://192.168.0.239>**</mark> to access the switch's local web GUI.&#x20;

3\. Use the default login credential (ID/PWD: **admin/password**) to log in to the switch's local web page.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/FoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL/blobs/9pQvXAo0Zu8voWmygDZD/QIG_login_frame.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>*The display model number may be varied according to different models.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Step2: Configure and Manage the Device

After logging in to the device's local web page, navigate to the left-side menu to configure and manage the switch accordingly.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/FoczbxDur7GFtvaYVcCL/blobs/ZMxJIDWWioPyzeGyKP0K/QIG_portal_frame.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>*The display model number may be varied according to different models.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
For information on configuring the switch and using the **Standalone Configuration**, refer to the user guide: <https://docs.engenius.ai/ecs-user-manual>&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**How to Change Management Mode?**</mark>

EnGenius Cloud devices support versatile network management methods, but the device can only be managed under one management mode, either **Cloud To-Go** **app** or **Standalone**. Therefore, you need to **reset the device** before changing to a different management mode, followed by QSG instructions for onboarding the device.
{% endhint %}
