Monitoring System Status in Real Time
The Dashboard provides a consolidated, real-time view of the system’s operational status. It allows administrators to quickly check hardware health, network configuration, active sessions, and power metrics without navigating through multiple pages. This chapter describes each section of the Dashboard as presented in the BMC web interface.

Viewing the Virtual Front Panel & Current Users
Virtual Front Panel
The Virtual Front Panel section mirrors key front-panel indicators and summarizes the current platform status:
Power – Current power state of the system.
Status – Overall system health or alert state.
Chassis – Presence or health status of the chassis.
Click the refresh icon to update the displayed values.
Current & Users
The Current Users section lists accounts that are currently logged in to the BMC. For each active session, it displays:
Username: The logged-in account.
Type: The access method (for example, Web (HTTPS)).
IP Address: The client source IP.
Click the refresh icon to update the list. Use this section to monitor concurrent sessions and review who is actively connected to the BMC.
Reviewing System and Network Details
Date & Time
The Date & Time area shows the current BMC system date and time in GMT+00:00 format. This timestamp is used across logs and events.
Click the refresh icon to update the displayed time.
System Information
The System Information panel displays key BMC and system details, including:
BMC Uptime
Active BMC Firmware Build Time
Active BMC FW Revision
BIOS ID
BMC Chipset
FAN Table Version
Click the refresh icon to update the details.
Network Information
The Network Information section shows the current network configuration for both Shared NIC and Dedicated NIC, including:
IP address
Gateway
Subnet Mask
IPv6 Static/Dynamic Address
MAC Address
Click the refresh icon to refresh the data.
System Event Log
The System Event Log section shows recent hardware and system events reported by the BMC. It helps administrators quickly review system activity and identify abnormal conditions.
Each log entry includes the following details:
Event ID
Time Stamp
Sensor Name / Controller
Severity – Critical, Warning, or Information
Sensor Type / Description
Click the refresh icon to update the log.
Monitoring Thermal, Fan, and Power status
Temperature
The Temperature section lists temperature sensor readings with:
Healthy status: For example, OK or Warning.
Name: Sensor name (for example, AmbientTemp, DTS CPU1).
Click the refresh icon to update the readings.
Voltage
The Voltage section shows live voltage readings for different power rails. Voltage values outside the normal range may indicate a fault or unstable power delivery.
Shows the operational speed (RPM) and health state of installed system fans.
Power Statistics
The Power Statistics panel displays the current power consumption (in watts) for each subsystem. If no data is available, the interface shows the message “No items available.”
Click the refresh icon to update the power readings.
Power Telemetry
The Power Telemetry panel provides telemetry readings for selected device categories. The available fields include:
Register Index
Register Address
Energy Counter (MJ)
Time Stamp (ms)
Click the refresh icon to update the telemetry data.
Accessing Screen Preview and Virtual Media
Screen Preview
The Screen Preview panel provides a real-time preview of the host system’s console output.
Virtual Media
The Virtual Media panel displays the status of virtual media devices (Device 1 to Device 5) and indicates whether disk emulation is enabled.
Click the refresh icon to update the device list.
